About

I went to McGill University in Montreal, Canada with the goal of going into dramaturgy. I pursued a Bachelor of Arts in English Drama and Theatre with minors in Linguistics and Philosophy and while doing so started exploring the backstage world at McGill’s many student-run theatres (and its one technical theatre course). I dabbled as a Stage Manager, Lighting Designer, Scenic Painter, Fly Operator, and Prop Master and by the end of my degree I had found my calling.

After graduating from McGill I was thrilled to be accepted into the Black Theatre Workshop’s Artist Mentorship Program as a Stage Manager. Through the program I got to learn on the job with a brilliant mentor and make professional connections with Montreal’s leading theatre companies as well as some of its most exciting festivals. In 2019 I was nominated for and won the Montreal English Theatre Award for Outstanding Emerging Artist – Production for my work in the 2018-2019 season. It was during this time that I also branched out into Production Management, getting exciting opportunities to work on shows in Montreal and touring to Europe.

At the end of 2019 I left Montreal and in 2020 I found myself in Bangalore, India, working with Jagriti Theatre before COVID-19 shut us down indefinitely. At the end of 2020 I moved to Dubai (where I grew up) and focused on some of my non-theatrical passions (sewing, pottery, staring longingly into our family dog’s eyes).

In 2022 I moved to London and within a month I was lucky to be put in touch with people who needed a Stage Manager. Since then I haven’t really looked back. I’ve been lucky to work with some brilliant theatres including the RSC, Unicorn Theatre, Bush Theatre and so many more.
